Striving to do the right thing by its customers and people has proven to be a successful formula for AA Insurance, after winning Claims Team of the Year at the 2023 New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.
The Claims Team of the Year award is given to the insurer who demonstrates outstanding technical skills, strong claims results and excellent customer service.
“We are honored and particularly proud of our incredible claims team to achieve victory this year,” says Simon Hobbs, AA Insurance GM Operations. These awards are a result of the hard work and dedication of our people, who put our customers at the forefront of everything they do. We’re always looking for new ways to take care of our customers as well as our people, and I’m proud of our team of over 1000 people for their unwavering commitment to our customers and to each other.
“As insurers, our job is to help customers get back on their feet when disaster or misfortune strikes, and we know it’s been a particularly difficult year for Kiwis who lost their lives earlier this year. Faced the worst weather.
“I know how hard our teams have worked to support customers following the Auckland Anniversary Weekend floods and Cyclone Gabriel, and I know they are eager to support those still working through the complexities of their claim. They are working so hard for this. It is an amazing honor to have their work recognized.”
The awards are decided by a distinguished panel of industry judges who read and score each submission individually. The judges praised AA Insurance for “putting together a top performing team to achieve remarkable results in an undeniably difficult period” as well as its claims filing and fulfillment processes, world-leading people development approach and customer service. Credited for its investment in experience and loyalty.
