Southern Cross Travel Insurance (SCTI) has announced that it has received two awards at the 2023 Canstar Travel Insurance Awards.
The company won an Excellent Value – International Travel Insurance Award and an Excellent Value – Senior Citizens Travel Insurance Award.
This is SCTI’s sixth consecutive win in the international travel category and second consecutive win in the senior category.
SCTI CEO Joe McCauley said the awards highlight the organization’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional coverage and service to travelers of all demographics. They also recognize the commitment and hard work of the SCTI team in providing high quality travel insurance solutions during another challenging year.
“In January this year, the travel industry in New Zealand came out of nearly three years of devastation following COVID-19 travel restrictions. Shortly thereafter we faced weather events in Auckland and Hawke’s Bay, which caused airport closures, affecting people traveling abroad. It has been fantastic to see travel stabilize over the past six months, and we have been busy growing our team to support the growing demand,” she explained.

These awards follow SCTI’s recent win at the Reader’s Digest Quality Service Awards 2024.
